Welcome to Kalanjali The Learning Center, a one stop destination for fine arts!
Established in 1992, Kalanjali the learning center is a tribute to all forms of art – sangeeta (music), nrityam (dance), art & craft, devarnama/shlokas, yoga, clay modeling, pottery, drawing, reading, calligraphy and much more .
It is a center with an open heart and mind, welcoming one and all who want to learn and express oneself in an artistic style.
Kalanjali TLC provides a calm atmosphere, so that your journey towards creativity begins. You will feel the vibrations of all seven svaras (notes) or experience the vibrations of the seven chakras (wheels), which energize your soul and spirit.
In our pedagogical approach, we introduce right concepts and the right time during the learning process. We build on the concepts of the previous year, deepening and broadening the skills and the experience already acquired.
At Kalanjali TLC, we believe each individual is gifted with unique qualities and we believe that the introduction of these art forms is essential to identify and nourish such qualities.
Today Kalanjali has diversified into other co-curricular activities to nourish the mind, body and soul. We, at Kalanjali TLC believe anyone who stops learning becomes old; anyone who continues learning stays young. We have students of age from 4 to 70+ years.
Mrs. Padma Kanani: Founder
Padma Kanani sowed the seeds of Kalanjali TLC in 1992, initially training students in pottery and then gradually training them in a multitude of art forms. Her courses are designed for children and adults alike and she believes that art forms add colour to an individual’s personality and impart meaning to life. She enjoys interacting with all age groups and continues to be a source of motivation with her never say die attitude. She is an ardent learner and continues her learning curve with her classes in Sitar and photography.
Mr. Ramesh Kanani: Co-founder
Ramesh Kanani has been the core member of team Kalanjali TLC to strategize and improvise diverse art courses for mental, physical, psychological and spiritual healing. Since inception, he has been the sole person to design and provide the logistical support to manage a daily foot-fall of scores of students at a single center. His foresight and prudence continue to be instrumental in guiding the philosophy at Kalanjali TLC and his advice and opinions are well received and appreciated among the parents and students alike.

We pride ourselves in our teaching faculty. Our teachers employ simple yet effective ways of teaching, knowing that teaching is an art and not a technique. Almost all our teachers are certified in the relevant category of arts, backed with more than 10 years of teaching experience. Our teachers nurture the qualities necessary to bring about the wholesome development of the individual.
The students tend to drink in the expressions of the art forms through the emotions of our teachers, unconsciously absorbing the underlying expressions and movements. In expressing the art forms, the teachers infuse it with imagination, feeling and depth, so that the art forms are visualized. It is because the students live in pictures, they are able to remember it better than otherwise.
